Rooted in Justice. Rising for Milwaukee.

The NAACP Milwaukee Branch is one of the oldest civil rights organizations in the city — and one of the most determined. Since our founding in 1909, we’ve stood on the frontlines to fight systemic racism, demand justice, and uplift the power of Black Milwaukeeans.

Our Mission

What We Do

  • Advance Policy Change through advocacy and public pressure

  • Provide Legal Support for civil rights and justice issues

  • Promote Voter Engagement through registration and turnout efforts

  • Create Safe Spaces for community healing and strategy

Hold Institutions Accountable to the people they serve
